Drake Thank Me Later

Drake Thank Me Later
(Debut Album)

Thank Me
Later
, the debut album by Canadian Rapper Drake is
considered as the most-anticipated debut from a rapper since 50 Cent’s
“Get Rich or Die Trying”. In an interview with Complex.com, Drake stated
that this album will be “a solid hip hop album” different from his
mixtape So Far Gone, whose musical style has been compared to that of
Kanye West’s album 808s & Heartbreak.

About a Year ago Canadian actor-turned-rapper Drake dropped a Mixtape
“So Far Gone” that resulted in creating a buzz for him like no other
newcomer has done since 50Cent. Without even an official Studio Album
under his portfolio drake has already accomplished what some established
artists can only dream of including a No. 1 record (“Best I Ever Had”),
performing at the 2010 Grammys and being vouched for by some of the
industry’s top players including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem and Young
Jeezy.

Thank Me Later Pushed back

Drake’s Debut album Thank me later which was supposed to drop on May
25th has been pushed back to June 15th. In a recent interview Nas
mentioned that he agrees with Drake pushing back his album.

“I think a lot of things that’s messed up is if you come
out with a record, brand new, and it blows up too big, that could be the
worst thing that ever happens to you,” Nas explained in an interview.
“I think there’s a lot of new cats coming out that’s not just blowing up
but they’re taking their time. Like, we’re waiting on the Drake first
album, Drake’s album still hasn’t dropped. It should be dropping any day
now but that’s a great thing that it probably didn’t come out last
year. He waited, he got into a zone, I think that was smart.
