What is Thalassemia?

Thalassemia is a blood disorder which is inherited and causes reduction of hemoglobin and red blood cells in the body to be less than normal. There are many times of thalassemias which exist, which include alpha-thalassemia, beta-thalassemia, Cooley’s anemia and Mediterranean anemia.
