Best Selling Fiction Books

There are lots of fictional and nonfictional book titles available and it is always difficult to choose one to read. Reading backcovers is the most popular action while selecting, however this can cause missing some good titles. In this post, I will advice some best selling fiction books.

But before that, let’s look at what makes a book fiction? Yes, we are buying them but do we have the right idea in our minds about this genre? According to Wikipedia fiction books may have the one of five following issues:
  1. providing the basis of the novel's plot,
  2. adding verisimilitude by supplying plausible background
  3. acting as a common thread in a series of books or the works of a particular writer or canon of work.
  4. can be used as a conceit to illustrate a story within a story
  5. may be essentially a joke title, thus helping to establish the humorous or satirical tone of the work.

For this category, many succesful titles were written so far. Among them Foucault's Pendulum and The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco; The Chronicles of Middle-earth by J. R. R. Tolkien; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams; Solaris by Stanislaw Lem; 1984 by George Orwell and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll are the most popular and best selling ones.

Fiction books are also categorized into some sub-categories such as science fiction, utopic fiction, fantastic fiction, erotic fiction, etc. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a nice example of fantastic fiction, and Solaris can be given for the best utopic fiction title. The Star Wars Vault is one of the most popular example for the science fiction sub category, and for the erotic fiction Groove by Geneva Holliday can be given.

Groove is a juicy erotic fiction title and it brings a lighter touch to African American erotica. In this New York City, Holliday develops the characters nicely and moves the story very well. The book has something for everyone. Geneva Holliday’s Groove and many erotic fiction book titles can be found with special discount prices at www.GenevaHolliday.com . The Star Wars Vault, 1984 and the other titles can be found at Amazon or BarnesAndNoble .
Hope you share your reading experiences about fiction books in my blog.
