Mac OS X Leopard only: Free, open source application Secrets rolls every hidden feature of Leopard into an easy-to-use preference pane in your System Preferences. Developed by the author of the much-beloved Quicksilver, you can browse Secrets by application to see what tweaks are available for the apps you have installed. There's a ton to look into with Secrets, but the one secret that blew my mind off the bat was the "Arrows link to library instead of store" tweak in iTunes, which may be the most useful thing I've ever done to iTunes (and I've covered the best iTunes add-ons). Reader Denis wanted to embed a to-do list on his Windows desktop, and came up with a no-install solution:
I wanted a way to have an editable to-do list on my Windows desktop when I realized that Active Desktop and a simple HTML page can do the trick. I use only the basic HTML tags to make it readable. In order to make the list easy-to-edit, I created a BAT file that opens the HTML page with Notepad ready to be edited.

 It’s really important to wear softball batting gloves when you’re at bat.  They protect my hands and provide a better grip on the bat.  They have a snug fit so I can really hold the bat and give a good swing.  These gloves really help a lot!
