Apple Inc. may have sold as many as
500,000 iPad 2 computers after retail outlets ran out of the
tablet-style device on its debut weekend, said Piper Jaffray
Cos. analyst Gene Munster.
Stores run by Apple, Target Corp. and Best Buy Co.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Intel Corp. has sent a strong message to Wall
Street: Tablets may be transforming the computer industry, but there's
still a lot of money left to be made in the huge market for traditional
PCs.
Despite all the hoopla around Apple Inc.'s iPad and an army
of competitors, on Tuesday Intel reported that its first-quarter net
income jumped 29 percent as corporate demand for new PCs led to lots of
orders for Intel chips.

Google Inc. and Apple Inc. collect and store location information from personal computers, as
well as mobile devices, according to company executives, a disclosure
that sheds new light on the scope of the data collected by tech
companies.
Apple gathers information from some Apple Macintosh computers
connected to Wi-Fi networks, and Google collects data from
Wi-Fi-connected computers that use Google's Chrome browser or search
"toolbar."
