LONDON—European stocks recovered losses Friday, along with the euro,
as investors cheered an item on a Greek website saying that a new aid
package of €150 billion has been agreed for Greece.The report said the loan will involve €80 billion of new money, €40
billion to €50 billion from privatizations and the balance from Greek
debt rollovers.The Stoxx Europe 600 was flat at 266.78. London's FTSE 100 index was
flat at 5698.93, Frankfurt's DAX index was up 0.6% at 7153.63 and
Paris's CAC-40 was 0.7% higher at 3817.37. The euro changed hands
recently $1.4273, up from $1.4210 late Thursday in New York.
