Japan found out yesterday that their defaulted Google homepage looked like nothing they had ever seen before. The clean white background was tainted by some tabs that werenÂ’t there the previous night, but overall the feedback the team responsible for the change received was ranging from "good" to "hell yeah!," or at least thatÂ’s what it must have been, I canÂ’t really read Japanese.

When Twitter launched it’s own search engine that crawls through all user postings which were set for public viewing, many wondered why it was hosted on a subdomain.  It also has its own homepage which is separated from the Twitter main site.
