Google allowed its users to edit the maps before, by moving markers of their homes and businesses, but nothing of this magnitude has ever impacted the online community like the latest option added. ItÂ’s heavenly manna for those in the need for pinpoint accuracy and, to be honest, a big help to the engineers that constantly had to manually operate the adjustments as they happened.

Google Earth, the downloadable mapping application provided by the Mountain View company, is now providing even more high-resolution photos as the parent firm updated several locations around the world. Although the news came on April Fool's Day, the reports are not fakes as the new high-quality imagery is now accessible to all the users who downloaded and installed Google Earth.

Google Earth has added geo-located Google News stories to its many useful layers, giving users of the desktop app access to national headlines and local news.
