The How-To Geek weblog details how to create a desktop or keyboard shortcut to instantly eject your CD or DVD drive on your Windows computer. The special sauce lies in using the previously mentioned command line tool NirCmd, and you're basically creating a shortcut that executes NirCmd's "cdrom open" command. Quick and simple, when you're done you'll be ejecting from the keyboard any time you want. If you're looking to safely eject your USB drives, on the other hand, we've covered that, too.

I love these food storage containers I got from your
site! I can cook extra batches of food
and sauces and store them in the freezer. I can apportion meals as well for my kids so they don’t have to cook
when I come late from work. These food
containers are just great!

There has been the "silver bullet" debate, the "secret sauce" battle,
the "demonize teacher" tirades, and the "cracking the code" kerfuffle
over Waiting for Superman. Now, according to Diane Ravitch, it's the miracle workers perfidy. Sinners, get ye to your rosary beads -- and fast! According to Ravitch, writing in a recent New York Times op-ed essay, titled, of course, "Waiting for a School Miracle",
all these high-powered education reformers, from President Obama to
Arne Duncan to Jeb Bush to Michael Bloomberg, are claiming "miracles"
for their reform efforts; and Ravitch is there, a one-woman Congregation for the Causes of Saints, a Devil's Advocate, to throw some almighty holy water on the hype fires.
