Overall Health May Be Key to Beating Breast Cancer | ThirdAge

Good overall health may be associated with better outcomes for breast cancer survivors, according to a new study.

Researchers from the After Breast Cancer Pooling Project looked at
data from more than 9,000 early stage breast cancer survivors. The study
found that women in poor physical health had a 27 percent higher
recurrence of their breast cancer or developing a new breast cancer.
They also had a 65 percent increased risk of death from any cause, the
researchers said.
