The iPhone has been criticized for not taking advantage of its hardware in ways that almost all other cell phones do, and nowhere is this more glaring than in its absence of a good video recorder. Enter the aptly name VideoRecorder, an iPhone-only application that turns the iPhone's camera into a full-on video recorder.

VideoRecorder captures both audio and video (as you can see in the video), is impressively customizable, and has built-in features to share your recorded video over email or upload it directly to your YouTube account. The downside: It's a commercial app, which means you only get 30 recordings limited to 30 seconds with the unregistered evaluation version. Bummer.
