A while back we covered the Gemsta Sony Vaio P clone, an Intel Atom Z based netbook that as you would imagine sold for a fraction of the Sony original. Well today we're back with a variation on that same theme. This little gem also takes inspiration from the Sony Vaio P series netbook but opts instead for even more vanilla specifications in a thicker, chunkier chassis design that makes it a far cry from the dainty yet classy original. read more »

Despite earning flak for his remarks, the minister keeps on using Twitter heartily and has the highest number of Twitter followers in India. We’ve seen plenty of Windows Mobile based iPhone clones, and even a few HTC knock-offs, but this is the first smartphone clone we’ve seen that not only imitates the physical style of the original on which it’s based, but also sports the same OS. And, in fact, it’s the first shanzhai phone we’ve come across that uses the Google Android OS. read more »

Nearly 40% of the netbooks manufactured in 2009 were shipped with 2.5-inch hard drives. Netbooks have to compromise their slimness to squeeze in the 9.5 mm height of these hard drives.
