While most of Croatia's coastal towns seem tailor-made for tourism,
Split is real and vibrant. Lounging alongside the Adriatic Sea on the
famed Dalmatian Coast, Split is Croatia's second-largest city (after the
capital Zagreb), making it a bustling metropolis, serious port city,
major transit hub, and top sightseeing destination, all rolled into one.

You might not know about Split, Croatia, however it is been a trendy
getaway since 305 A.D. The Roman Emperor Diocletian spent my childhood
years in the region then when the time had come to retire, this is how
he built his palace and wielded what remained of his power. The palace
has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Today, Split hotels are among the best in Croatia, and it is once more a favorite holiday destination.

When choosing a place to spend your retirement years, the cost of living
is important. But it is only one consideration. The ideal retirement
spot is a place where you can live a rich life filled with friends,
travel, discovery, physical and intellectual distractions, and
opportunities for growth. A super-low cost of living is great, but more
important is the quality of life your retirement budget is buying you.

Winter was coming. Well, okay, so it was actually more like
spring when I arrived in London to meet the cast of the hit HBO series
Game Of Thrones. But compared to our tropical climate, the nippy English
air felt wintry enough. Of course, fans will know that in
the series, based on George R R Martin's bestselling fantasy saga A
Song Of Ice And Fire, the ominously portentous motto "Winter Is Coming"
doesn't just refer to a weather report.

Angelo would always say “don’t explain.” It wasn’t just because as
media and PR he knew how the spin would play out, but because he really
didn’t care. Everyone had his own agenda anyway. But of course, this earnest Anne had great difficulty with that. I
always felt that there was better understanding when people would have
access to the truth.

The auctioning of new FM radio licences has hit another wrong frequency.
