As much as we would loath typing on that touch-sensitive, rigid keyboard, we’re definitely geek-smitten by that ultra-thin, AMOLED laptop concept from Samsung SDI — Sammy’s display division. 12.1-inches and 1,280 x 768 resolution with infinite contrast? Sprint is making good on their promise to spend $100 million to promote their new iPhone competitor, the Samsung Instinct. The advertisements start running on May 9th, but the commercials are now available to view on YouTube. The advertisements very obviously take aim at the iPhone, with some shots showing the two devices side by side. read more »

The new iPhone firmware is going to bring many magical things to the iPhone loving masses. We all know that, and there is no doubt about it. that little gem though, makes it even sweeter. There are rumors, that the latest build of the iPhone SDK, suggests that handwriting recognition may be included in the 2.0 firmware. Although Cubans have been able to get underground PCs for a while now, the Cuban government only recently lifted the official ban on them, and the first publicly-available machines just went on sale Friday.
